Dummies

On my way to Cullman, Alabama last week I pulled over in a little town called Falkville to take a break and found this mannequin scene in an antique/junk store window.

Porches

Here are a few of the images I used in a porch series for my Southern Culture folk studies class. The first and last were taken in Cullman, Alabama when I was working on a story about the tornadoes that hit there last week. The middle one is a couple here in Warren County on Louisville Road.

Hackett

"Buddy Hackett" works with Michael Carter as a service dog and is basically his 24/7 companion. This is a still from the multimedia project I am working on with them for our social advocacy assignment.

Owen and Chairs

Gradually going through everything since January and I'm going to make several posts here and there for the rest of this semester. These two were taken at the beginning of this semester. This sign was behind my neighbor's house, and the dog is Owen, a beagle we found on 31W in Elizabethtown.

Pueblo

Been out here in Colorado now for the past few weeks and I'm just wrapping up my second week here at the Pueblo Chieftain. I was on my way back from an assignment yesterday and a storm rolled over so I tried my hand at getting a lightning shot over the city's whitewater park on the Arkansas River.
